Falcons undergo a life cycle that begins with the egg stage, where a female lays typically 3 to 6 eggs in a nest. After about 28 to 35 days of incubation, the eggs hatch into chicks, known as eyases. The young falcons are dependent on their parents for food and care for about 6 to 8 weeks before fledging, or leaving the nest. Once they fledge, they continue to be supported by their parents for several weeks as they learn to hunt and survive independently.
