How do you get nectar for butterflies?

You can't buy nectar from anywhere, but you CAN make your own nectar with 1 part sugar and 4 parts water; boiled and then cooled down. Put it in a shallow container and if in the wild, put it on a brightly coloured sponge to attract them.
