Should you still have pain a year after a colectomy?

Pain comes from many sources after surgery - cut or nicked nerve, tendon, muscle, scar tissuem etc. Colon surgery takes a long time to heal, so it's not unusual to have pain only a year past. If it's accompanied by a fever, then you should be calling a doctor.
