To survive, a coconut needs a warm, tropical climate with plenty of sunlight and access to water. It requires well-draining sandy or loamy soil to prevent root rot and promote healthy growth. Additionally, coconuts need to be able to float in seawater, allowing them to disperse and establish themselves on new shores. Adequate pollination and protection from pests and diseases also contribute to their survival.
