According to the account of Jull Pascoe, author of Louisiana's Haunted Plantations, Frogmore Plantation is haunted. Pascoe gives her account as follows:

The wife of Daniel Morris, the first owner of Frogmore, "died after giving birth to their son in 1836." A series of seeming 'natural cause' deaths occurred as the plantation changed hands from the Gillespies to the Wade family, to the Tanners who bought the plantation in the 1960s. On numerous occasions a veiled woman dressed in black has been seen on the property by overseers and residents. Lights turn on and off and other mysterious electrical disturbances are recounted by the author. A house slave dressed 'in dark clothing and wearing a red apron' walked through the bedroom door of one resident, as recently as the 1990s.

I find Ms. Pascoe's account of her interviews and research most convincing.

Emily Hill, author of 'Ghost Stories And The Unexplained' and 'Ghost Stories From Beyond The Grave'.
