Harvey Haddix pitched a total of 12 perfect innings in his 1959 game against the Milwaukee Braves, throwing 136 pitches during that time. Unfortunately, he lost the game in the 13th inning when he allowed a hit, ending what would have been a perfect game. Haddix's performance remains one of the most remarkable near-misses in Baseball history.
