A plant growing opposite leaflets in sets of three, white drupes, and yellow-green flowers in panicles is the look of poison ivy. The Anacardiaceae family member runs creeping rootstocks 12 feet (3.66 meters) from bottom stem nodes for fast new plant proliferation. The Rhus genus member in question sports leaflets up to 10 inches (25.4 centimeters) long and variable dull or glossy green, even-, lobed-, or toothed-margined, and hairy or smooth.
