Are shar pei dogs good with kids?

Any breed of Dog, be it a Pit Bull or a Chihuahua, can make an amazing family pet, providing it has a responsible owner. A study performed by Dog Bite Claims showed that statistically the top five breeds most likely to bite someone are: 1) Dachshund, 2) Chihuahua, 3) Jack Russell Terrier, 4) Australian Cattle Dog, and 5) Cocker Spaniel. This surprises many people as they expect to see Dobermanns, Rottweilers and Staffordshire Bull Terriers on this list. This proves once again that there is no such thing as a bad breed, there are only bad owners. Shar Pei's and Staffies can make the most loving and loyal family companions when raised by responsible owners who are willing to socialize them. I myself am lucky enough to own two Staffordshire Bull Terriers, both of which are more than happy to roll over on their back for a tummy tickle from any stranger they meet in the street. When raised with loving and caring owners and with plenty of socialization, ANY breed can make a nice dog!
