How much is 1986 Honda Elite 250 worth?

I would pay no more than $200 to $400 in rough shape, and $1000 in Excellent condition with maintenance. Some sellers ask for $1500 and are willing to negotiate a bit. The scooter is worth at least test riding one. They are pretty fast and have proven ultra reliable over the past 26 years.
