Who makes more money a Doctor or a firefighter?

A doctor makes a lot more than a fireman does. My nephew is a fireman, and has been for about 10 years, and still doesn't make a lot. Firemen, police and EMT's are the ones we call during some of the scariest and worst moments of our lives, yet they are paid far less than almost all other professionals are.
