Will electronic symbols harm English language?

Children are inventing a new lexicon for electronic communication with a range of abbrevation and symbols that adults find hard to understand.Teachers say that the new shorthand style assosiated with emails is making their job of improving literacy skills even harder.

At the end our English language is totally destroyed!
