Cleopatra was never beautiful. That is a myth made up by Shakespeare. She actually had small eyes, high cheekbones, a large hooked nose and a sagging jawline. Her coins bear this out. Even the ancient writer, Plutarch claims that she was not beautiful but had a magnetic personality.
