If you run aground in an outboard boat, first assess the situation and ensure it's safe to attempt to free the vessel. Shift weight to the back of the boat to help lift the bow, then gently rev the engine in reverse to create thrust. If that doesn’t work, try rocking the boat back and forth while applying power in short bursts. If it's still stuck, consider using a paddle or oars to push off or, if possible, wait for the tide to rise.
