How long should a new mother stay home from work?

well, it would be perfect if you stayed for about a year, so then you can spend some time with your baby as it grows, butit depends on the circumstances.. if ur a single mom.. well.. but if u have someone to work, and help support you, take advantage of that and take a year or two.
