If you read Genesis more carefully, you may find that curse had more to do with sexual orientation than race. Noah's son Ham "looked upon his father's nakedness." Nobody really knows what that meant, and ancient Jewish scholars have debated that situation thoroughly. What people think happened ranges from just looking, to an intimate act, to mutilation. Since it was described as an act or behavior, it seems that "looking upon" was a euphemism and that more than just observation occurred. Canaan was. If you follow the lineage of Canaan, in 4-6 generations, his descendants founded the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. God destroyed those cities. So the curse resulted in less people, not more people of a certain race.
