What is light in Japanese?

The Word 'light' has a few different meanings in English. As such, there are a few different Words that mean 'light' in Japanese. These are:

軽い (karui): light (weight; not heavy) - adjective

Example: 軽い服が好きです (karui fuku ga suki desu) - "I like light clothes"

光 (hikari): light (visible) - noun

Example: 光は音よりも速く進む (hikari wa oto yorimo hayaku susumu) - "Light travels faster than sound"

電気 (denki): light (switch, bulb, etc.) - noun

Example: 電気を消して (denki o keshite) - "Turn off the lights"
