You can't make a plant grow "faster" (or at least not as fast as you want it to). The best thing you can do is care for it and give it as much love and attention as you possibly can. This will make it grow HEALTHY which is your overall goal. I couldn't imagine it smoking right or tasting good if it grows up too quickly. You have to treat it like a pet. You wouldn't want you cute and cuddly puppy to grow up too fast, would you? You would want it to have time to get used to the world so that when it does grow up, it will know how to handle it. You're right but there are also chemicals you can use. Increasing co2 can greatly affect the growth speed.
