How do you find out what sex your fantail guppy is?

The male has a modified anal fin know as a gonopodium which can rotated forward or to one side when it attempts to deposit sperm into the female. Most of the females can be identified by a dark spot near the anal fin, know as the gravid spot. Males typically have the fancy colorful tails moreso than the females.
