Do you have to have professional photos on a portfolio HELP ME?

No. But, it does help to have a high def. camera and a friend who is has a passion for Photography. When you set up a makeup portfolio you should have a lot to offer. Have some natural makeup and maybe some inspired looks and maybe throw in some looks with powerful color. Hint: When you photograph makeup you may want to apply it darker than usual because (depending on the camera) the makeup may not show up as much.
