Toyota Sienna 2001 The plastic handle that opens the back hatch broke Is there a way to get the door open another way Is there some way to get it open from the inside Can it be repaired?

There's an Excellent discussion of this problem at this thread: http://www.automotivehelper.com/topic203428.htm The quick answer is that you remove the inside handle and strap, pull off the vinyl cover and replace the handle. A new handle will cost you ~$70 at a Toyota dealer, but it's still much cheaper than paying that same dealer ~$400 to do it for you.
