How do you kill slugs on Lego Harry Potter 1-4 XBOX 360?

In LEGO Harry Potter 1-4 on Xbox 360, you can defeat slugs by using the character with a spell that targets them. Typically, you would use the "Depulso" spell or any other spells that can damage enemies. Once you cast the spell on the slugs, they will disappear, allowing you to progress in the game.
