The Indian rock python typically lays its eggs between January and March, coinciding with the warmer months. A female can lay between 20 to 100 eggs, which she incubates by coiling around them to maintain the necessary temperature. This maternal behavior is relatively unique among snakes, as most do not provide any care for their eggs. After about 60 to 70 days, the eggs hatch, and the young snakes are independent from birth.
