What is the difference between Container yard and Container depot in shipping terms?

While similar in meaning: In the Freight Cargo delivery system,

Depot is used for temporary storage and forwarding of cargo to other locations. Usually the depot owner does not own the cargo/shipping containers or trailers that filter through the depot. The owner does usually provide equipment for loading and unloading of shipping/cargo containers as needed. i.e., forklift, etc.

Yard usually defines a local business owning, or in control of, shipping/cargo containers and other equipment for local rentals, sales, repairs, etc. Example - a local rental yard
