Why will Tobey Maguire not be in the next Spider-Man movie?

Because Tobey Maguire decided he was through playing Spider-Man forever after Sam Raimi decided he was not directing the fourth film due to not being given creative control he had wished for. That is why Sony decided the series would be rebooted instead of continuing with more sequels.
