What if your one phone call in jail is a cell phone?

You can't use it in jail so it simply continues to be billed to you while you are in jail. You can cancel your contract but be prepared to pay a hefty fee (around $100 or so) to break your contract.

Call your provider. Explain the situation. See if they will put your account on hold.
