How do you get to blackthorn in Pokemon Crystal?

you have to have the fisrt 7 bagdes and beat team rocket in goldenrod city radio tower then you go all the way west of mahogany town till you see a cave and a trainer beat the trainer and enter the cave. work your way through the cave when you come out you should be in backthorn city.

P.S. you will need a Pokemon that knows strength.
