What is the difference between relapse and recurrence?

Recurrence of a disease is actually the activation of an already there but not harmful disease( e.g. cystitis)for at least 3 TIMES A YEAR due to certain causes

Relapse means the reappearance of a disease that has vanished completely( e.g. cancer relapse) after a person has been treated
