What continent and habitat does the red wolf live on?

The red wolf is a North American animal, formally found from Pennsylvania to Texas..They were wiped out over most of their range, and a captive breeding program was established to save them from extinction..Today found only in the wild in North Carolina, at the Alligator River Refuge, in the swamplands of the coastal plain..Around 120 animals exist there now.
