How often should you flush a 15 hp mercury outboard?

It is a good practice to flush the engine after each use, particularly if operated in salt, or brackish water. Also, if operated in shallow water where the engine may be picking up silt or sand, as any of the above mentioned may cause obstructed cooling water flow.
