Do petitions work

Yes, petitions do work. My school had a petition for the most random, redundant thing ever - Honey Mustard for the cafeteria subs- and everyone in the school signed, mainly to get rid of the others who wanted them to. Now, no one uses the Honey Mustard, or cares.
