To replace a 2.8 engine with a 3.1 liter what will need to be added?

Your question needs a little more clarification. As far as bolting it in....nothing. They are pretty much the same engine. Are you replacing a 2.8 with a 3.1 that has the same fuel delivery system? Are you using one with the same computer control generation?
