Why do Muslims say bismillah while killing animals for halal meat?

By the name of ALMIGHTY is not only said only before slaughtering for halal food but also to perform all actions. Its a matter of faith. The philosphy behind the particular action is that the meat be a blessing from the ALMIGHTY.
