Instil a wash hands policy before and after toilet use, use of paper tissue to clean noses especially when one has a cold and then the correct disposal of the same. Clear up after play. Being tidy around the house (one of the hardest of all rules ) Change cloths regularly and place dirty clothing in appropriate areas for washing. Engage children from an early age in simple tasks like tidying up, making it fun. Toilet habits are very important and guidance in their use has to be continually endorsed with firmness and not force.
