YES! YES! YES! Synthetic grass or indoor outdoor grass is a perfect substrate especially for snakes. This is because synthetic grass does not breed bacteria like organic substrate and that is important for snakes because most species are prone to skin infections on their underbellies. This was told to me by my Veterinarian who specializes in reptiles or a herpetologist and he says that he recommends synthetic substrate for all the reptiles he treats.
