The War of the World was a Science Fiction book written by H.G. Wells in 1898.

The War of the Worlds was about invaders from Mars, who come to Earth and slaughter everything in their path without regard to man, using their superior Martian technology.

It was written as a metaphor to European colonialism, in which Europeans captured and enslaved many people across the continents with superior technology without regard to the common man, treating them as aliens or subhumans.
