How did Bakura get rid of the Millennium ring?

In the "Yu-Gi-Oh!" series, Bakura gets rid of the Millennium Ring by using its powers to unleash the dark spirit within it. Ultimately, he is defeated by Yugi Mutou and his friends, leading to the destruction of the Ring.
