Will lye kill fleas in yard?

Yes, it will. It will also kill all the desirable (necessary for a good yard) other critters and easily kill the yard itself besides contaminating the water supply.

Far better to use a treatment that targets only the pests, available at virtually any store carrying yard products.

Don't use lye, broadly distributed, for this purpose.
