Why is Tom Buchanon the antagonist in The Great Gatsby?

Because Jay Gatsby as the protagonist. Gatsby wants Daisy, Tom's wife; she is his whole life's purpose. Basically because he works against Gatsby. But Wilson is the one to kill Gatsby in the end.
