Do Praying mantis pinch

Yes, they can pinch if threatened. They will lunge out and attempt to pinch, but they usually do not and wild mantises can often be handled. They are not poisonous. Just don't torment them ( don't poke them, push them, or pull on their legs) and you'll be okay.
