Kodiak bears move primarily by walking and running on all fours. They can reach speeds of up to 30 miles per hour in short bursts, which is surprisingly fast for their size. Their large, powerful limbs and strong claws enable them to navigate rugged terrain efficiently, whether they're foraging for food or traversing their natural habitat. Kodiak bears can also climb trees, although they tend to be less agile than smaller bear species.
