What are other words for kids?

Goats (goats kid)

from the German language. The Word kinder means children and the garten means garden. In English, this translates into garden of children.

Kinder, or Kids. I think it is more appropriate to call them children, & not use the Word Kid.

I feel kids makes them more like animals. ;]
