First day IRS will accept 2008 tax return?

I was told By H&R Block on Jan. 15 or 16 the IRS will accept tax returns

The above is a nice offical answer...from someone wanting you to give them business as soon as possible.

The IRS processing division is not really fully staffed and returns can't be really processed until the corresponding employer/payor information is received...so it really doesn't start happening until around 2/15.
