Education can provide you with information necessary for being a good citizen in a globalized world, by giving you a better understanding of the beliefs and customs of other cultures. Thanks to education, you will be less likely to believe myths and superstitions, and more likely to make intelligent decisions.

Education changes your life by opening your mind to new ideas, and giving you the skills needed to apply those new ideas (or to reject them and consider other ideas). And what is great about education is no-one can take it away from you. Plus, you are never too old to keep learning: I got my PhD when I was 64, and I've even had a few students who went back to school when they were in their 70s. To sum up, a person who has a good education has many more opportunities than someone who does not; education is not a "magic answer" to all your problems, but it does train you to think creatively, and that can lead to finding solutions, creating strategies, and making change happen.
