How much does a trainer make?

it depends on where your working. I have seen trainers who make up to 200 dollars for teaching a dog the very simple command 'sit', and make even more teaching behavioral things, but I've also seen trainers make as little as 50 dollars per day. Try researching where you live, and what are the common prices for training at pet stores, shelters, and other places. The vet sometimes has a list of local trainers where you can check their prices.
'If you ask me a dog trainer should make up to at LEAST up to 30dollars an hour at least if you know how long it takes to train a dog.' It's pretty hard to train a dog!

Myself, I took home well over six figures last year in my dog training business and most dog trainers could do the same if they just learned the business end of training dogs.

  Very honestly, once you take into consideration the fact that we need to rent a place to hold classes, pay for advertising, purchase supplies, cover utilities, etc... there isn't much left over. At my business we offer grooming and Photography in addition to training. There's no way we could stay open if training was all we did.
