Is fantasy a noun

It depends actually.

When we are talking about fantasy for people of a young age, especially young children, fantasy is thought of more as castles and dragons, and positive things that enlighten your imagination, but if we were talking about a fantasy for an adult, it tends to be thought of something more dirty and sexual ;)
