Flight 1549, which made an emergency landing in the Hudson River on January 15, 2009, had no fatalities among its 155 passengers and crew. All aboard survived the incident, which is often referred to as the "Miracle on the Hudson." The successful ditching was attributed to the skilled actions of Captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger and First Officer Jeffrey Skiles.
