Are glass coffee tables too dangerous for a house with a 5-year-old child?

If the glass is tempered saftey glass and it does not have sharp corners then it should be ok for a child. If your child is exceptionally wild it might not be a good idea. Even safety glass can break it just doesn't leave shards of glass everywhere to get stuck in your child.
