What is the difference between discussion and conclusion?

Hi!

So, my interpretation is that the discussion is when you talk about your results and discuss:

a. why what happened happened

b. what your results are compared to other research that has been done/ other opinions/ the results you expected

c. what errors you made during experimentation

whereas the conclusion:

a. summarizes the experiment

b. talks about real world applications of your experiment

c. talks about further experiments that could be done

d. makes a conclusion about the results ( they supported/ rejected your hypothesis, or do neither because you didn't collect enough evidence) :)
