Difference between unilocular and plurilocular sporangia?

Unilocular sporangia are not divided- they only have one compartment.

Pluralocular sporangia are divided into many compartments.

In colder temperate waters, you can find both types. In warmer sub-tropical waters, you will only find pluralocular.
