What is Sam Gamgee's relationship to Bilbo?

There was no family relationship. Sam was Frodo's gardener, and Frodo was Bilbo's cousin. Sam was the son of Gaffer Gamgee who probably helped with the gardening at Bag's End for Bilbo's family.
